I am an anthropological archaeologist born and raised in Yucatan, Mexico. I use Indigenous knowledge to understand the long histories of Indigenous resilience in the Americas.
I earned a BA from the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán-Mexico, an MA from the Louisiana State University, and a PhD from Northwestern University.
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Anthropology, University of Virginia. I teach courses in the anthropology program.
